If your pet is sick, contact a veterinarian immediately.
Please note that I do not provide veterinary advice, diagnose medical conditions, or recommend treatment. I’m happy to help with general pet food safety questions, but I do not recommend or review specific pet food brands or products.
If you suspect a pet food problem, please report it as soon as possible:
- Contact the FDA immediately: Safety Reporting Portal
- Contact your State Feed Control Official: Find Your State Feed Control Official
- Contact the manufacturer: Report the issue directly to the company listed on the package
When reporting the problem to the FDA, your State Feed Control Official, or the manufacturer, it helps to gather:
- Product details: brand, variety, package size, lot number, best-by date, and UPC code
- Evidence: save the original packaging and any remaining food in a cool place or freezer
- Medical records: veterinary records documenting illness, injury, or death
MEDIA

When considering interviews or speaking engagements, I give priority to the sponsor’s purpose and agenda. Whenever possible, please reach out at least four weeks before the event.
